American Idol Season Nine: Leftover Songbird Auditions

So I must admit to being distracted so far this season. I thought Dallas was the last audition, and then I though Denver was the last, and tonight was just a hodgepodge of locations and miscellaneous people pasted together.

So the Golden Ticket Collage Night winners were:

Amanda Shectman – very nice voice with a drab delivery. She needs coaching, but I think she will deliver eventually. The judges gave her a bad time for coming out of dramatic training – you mean like that Lambert guy?

Lee Dewyze – OK, Kris Allen wannabee. I didn’t hear anything special.

Crystal Bowersox – big voice, though anyone who sings Joplin automatically scares me – I just expect to hear nothing but throwback copycatting – maybe she’ll prove me wrong. Go ahead Crystal, prove me wrong.

Lacey Brown – a repeat from last year’s collection – has a childlike voice, but I don’t hear the power behind it.

Rachel Hubbard – She young and pretty and has a rich tone to her voice. I’m putting her on my top list, not entirely because of talent – but because I like her home town – Boerne, TX (say it with me “Bernie,” TX). No one said I have to be impartial…no wait, maybe I did.

Thaddeus Johnson – seems a bit more loud than talented to me.

Genesis Moore – Finally a real belter! In hope she shines in Hollywood.

Michael Lynche –Was a little off key in places, I didn’t hear it.

Didi Benami – Didi has a really great voice, the judges seemed a bit lukewarm – but I don’t know why. However, she may not be strong enough emotionally to handle the process.

Aaron Kelly – Big voice for a young man, some eye candy for the preteens, he delivers with emotion.

Hope Johnson – good voice, sweet, and her soul really shines through in her performance. Go Hope! FYI – Joe Jonas was the guest judge for her audition – he seemed a bit smitten.

Ryan says next week is Hollywood Week. Now can I say the painful audtions are finally over? Yeehaw!

It’s a very interesting point of view and items that I would like to know more as the interpersonal attitude is something that is not given much information.
